Jennifer E. Hudgens, originally from Oklahoma City, previously published in Kill Poet, Decomp, Pedestal, Requiem, Divine Carcass, Artistica, Words Dance Press, Misfit Magazine, Dragon Poetry Review, This Land Press, Literary Orphans, Swimming With Elephants, Penhall Publishing, Culture Vultures, & Novel Masters, and The Rain, Party, Disaster Society, Voicemail poems, Literati Press, Drunk in a Midnight Choir and forthcoming in the winter 2015 issues of Clockwise Cat and Dragon Poetry Review. Jennifer is the co-editor of Wicked Banshee Press. Jennifer has also been featured on Indiefeed Performance Poetry. She doesn't really like talking about herself in third person, it's a little creepy. Jennifer loves unicorns, watching ants carry bread crumbs, and full-bellied laughs. She is terrified of horses, clowns, and animatronic toys. Jen truly hopes you like her poems.
Her first full-length collection of poems entitled “Girls Who Fell in Love With War” will be released in December 2015 by Swimming With Elephants Press.
Jen is hoping to go on tour summer 2016, sing some songs, read some poems, and get reacquainted with life.
Jennifer is currently pursuing her Bachelor’s degree in Creative Writing at the University of Central Oklahoma. She teaches creative writing classes for the Oklahoma City Arts Council, and is a pretty rad substitute high school teacher.
